Floating Zigzag Stair

Sculptural Geometry for a Sleek, Modern Look

Floating Zigzag Stair with Concealed Supports

In this design, the stringers pass through the box steps, becoming more concealed to create a distinct floating step appearance. We call this design “floating zigzag stairs.”

Crafting a clean, minimalistic modern staircase is a challenge. Our technology was tested to seamlessly pass the stringers through the steps without creating unsightly cross-grain cuts. The result is a smooth, clean look from any angle. Additionally, the wood grain is book-matched on both sides of the glass panels for a cohesive aesthetic.

The glass panels, embedded within the steel stringers, can be framed with simple steel rails to maintain a plain, minimalistic look.
